WE’RE LOOKING FOR UNIQUE PERFORMERS

Tin Shed Theatre Co. & Living Levels present

BIG SKIES

For our next project we’re looking for four unique performers who feel comfortable making work on a tight time schedule with and alongside our non-professional theatre company; The Public Theatre. We need confident, multi-faceted performers who are adept at making and performing outdoors whilst interacting with members of the public.

Big Skies is a three-year project that looks to reunite people from the city with the amazing wildlife and nature that is just a stones throw away from them. Looking at mans connection to the land and multi-diversity within nature, we want to rekindle our rural selves and invite people to a one day festival event to launch our three-year long project that will span from Chepstow to Cardiff.

On the 1st Dec, we are inviting audiences to join us for ramble around The Wetlands in Newport to discover how we're putting the wonder in wandering, as the natural landscape has a breathe of new life in this unusual promenade performance.

CASTING BREAKDOWN

MUSTS

​

·       Aged between 21-65

·       Training/experience in physical theatre, movement, circus, other.

·       Experience of devising theatre

·       Experience of performing outdoors

·     Experience of Walk About/Promenade performance

PREFERABLES

​

·       Puppetry Training/Experience

·       Experience in community engaged performance making/amateur dramatics

·     ​

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from Deaf and Disabled Artists.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from BAME Artists.​

​

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who identify as transgender or non-binary.

ADDITIONALLY

This is a casting call for anyone who wants to make a genuine commitment to work of this nature and we seek to only receive applications from people interested in working with and alongside us in the creation of a unique event.
